The Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID) introduces the AI and Tech Accountability Reporting Fellowship — a three-month programme designed to empower Nigerian journalists with the skills, knowledge, and funding needed to investigate and report on the ethical, economic, and social implications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies. The fellowship aims to foster critical, high-impact journalism that highlights the role of AI in shaping African society, with a focus on transparency, fairness, and accountability.
Eligibility Criteria:
Open to:
- Journalists, media professionals, and researchers based in Nigeria
- Applicants with experience or strong interest in tech reporting, AI ethics, governance, and digital policy
- Journalists committed to producing insightful, high-quality content
- Female journalists and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply
- Must be willing to participate fully in all fellowship activities including training, mentorship, and networking
