The Atlantic Fellows for Racial Equity (AFRE) 2025 is a 12-month fellowship for leaders dedicated to advancing racial equity and improving the quality of Black life globally. Through virtual convenings, an in-person residency in Johannesburg, and a capstone immersion experience, Fellows will engage in deep reflection, leadership development, and collaboration to drive change in their communities.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in racial equity or a related field.
- Reside in Africa, the Americas, the Caribbean, Europe, or the SWANA region during the virtual program.
- Fully commit to all programming, including a 2-week residency in South Africa and a weeklong in-person convening
- Not enrolled in another fellowship during the program
- Highly proficient in English (spoken and written)
- No academic qualifications required
