UNESCO World Heritage Young Professionals Forum 2025 – Leveraging Digital Innovation for Cultural Preservation

Hosted at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris from 1–8 July 2025, the World Heritage Young Professionals Forum invites global youth to explore how digital technologies and innovative methods can preserve and promote World Heritage. As part of the 47th session of the World Heritage Committee, the Forum equips young professionals with tools and insights to lead sustainable heritage conservation in an interconnected world.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must:

  • Be aged between 23 and 32 years (born between 30 June 1993 and 30 June 2002 inclusive).
  • Have experience in fields such as: architecture, archaeology, conservation, restoration, urban planning, art history, or heritage-related studies.
  • Be actively involved in World Heritage protection, preservation, or promotion.
  • Be familiar with or experienced in digital technologies related to heritage.
  • Be motivated and committed to applying the Forum’s outcomes in their home countries.
  • Demonstrate commitment to community engagement in managing World Heritage properties.
  • Be available for the full duration of the Forum.
  • Be proficient in English and/or French.

  • Balanced geographical representation.
  • Gender equality.
  • Diverse professional backgrounds.
  • Capacity to share learnings within their country or institution.
  • Prior knowledge and experience in managing World Heritage sites.
